Will Portsmouth Midfield Colossus Long Tom Want Imps Future?

Portsmouth Manager Steve Cotterill has opened the door for the Imps to sign 20 year old midfield Colossus Long Tom Kilby.  The 6’ 3"  Yo Ho Ho Imp giant had an all action performance last night against Port Vale and gave as good as he got as our 5 man midfield phalanx ran the show first half.

Cotterill confirmed to The News. "I have spoken to Tom to say there isn't going to be an extension to his contract here, so he has needed to go out and start playing. We had to weigh up how many times Tom is going to get out on the pitch between now and the end of the season when he can go and play 90 minutes if selected at Lincoln. I can keep him here and be really selfish, but what is the difference between having six subs or seven subs? Tom is not going to stay here. Hopefully he can carve out a living for himself in the game somewhere because he is a real nice lad. I really like him."

So seven decent games Tom and you’re an Imp then?  Or are we getting too ahead of ourselves, or should that be over optimistic in believing he will want us?
