Walker Set For Surprise Return?

The popular midfield dynamo may be in line for a recall to the first eleven away at Oxford tomorrow. City Manager Alan Buckley is leaving it late before naming his starting eleven, as he ponders how to correct the problems which were exposed for the world to see on Tuesday night, as the inept Imps slumped to Mansfield, by four goals to one.

Buckley hinted that a reshuffle may be on the cards. “I will make a couple of changes after the other night,” confirmed Buckley. We've got a squad of 16 or 17 players to go to Oxford. It's pretty much the same squad as we usually have so we'll pick a team from that. There will be one or two changes which I'm currently tossing about in my mind.

One of the changes Buckley is contemplating must surely be whether to include Justin Walker, after an instant impact on Tuesday night. Walker was the attacking option from midfield and showed that he has what it takes to influence the course of the game.

Kingsley Black is a doubtful starter due to tweaking knee ligaments in training on Friday. Gain or Adam Buckley are obvious contenders for the spot.
