Update from WorldNET 2002!

The Imps side were to play Ayr United, Fulham and Swindon Town in Group 5 of the competition.

And the side got off to a steady start with a 1-1 draw against Ayr (“kaisAYRslatuen”). Midfield dynamo Lee Armstrong grabbed City's goal in style with a free-kick.

Fulham were next up, with the Netbusters needing at least a draw to have a chance of realistically progressing from the group. Things were not looking up for the side, as they went one-nil down, but heads didn't drop, as the Imps propelled themselves into the lead with goals from Colin (Colon) Green (the infamous “Airo” of old) and a man going by the name of “Taff”.

Going through was a very good possibility now going into the third and final group game. And that is just what happened. The game ended ‘Netbusters 0 – Cyber Robins 0.

The ‘Netbusters go on to face Sheffield Wednesday at 10am tomorrow morning. The last time the two teams met, the Owls emerged overwhelming victors.

Come on lads!
