Two Players Linked With City Sign For League Two Rivals

Winger Hamshaw will next season be playing alongside Jamie Forrester, Spencer Weir Daley, Paul Mayo and Richard Butcher at Notts County after today agreeing a deal at the Meadow Lane club. Hamshaw was tipped by local press to be of interest to Lincoln, although nothing solid ever appeared to be on the table. Exactly what role Hamshaw may have played at Sincil Bank was unclear as we already have wide players such as Lennel John Lewis and Dany N'Guesson.

Barbados international Neil Harvey was also ranked as a possible City target, and he was also rumoured to be interesting Macclesfield and Morecombe. Yesterday Macclesfield boss Keith Alexander took the plunge with the talented striker and signed him up. A slight but pacy forward he appeared to be the sort of player Jacko might be looking at, but its also expected Jacko wants players with a proven track record, and Harvey does represent something of a gamble.

Although City have missed out on both players, neither would really have improved on what Jacko already has at his disposal. The squad should however be bolstered this week as Jacko is expecting to bring in a keeper, a left back and a striker as well as possibly getting Frank Sinclair on board as well.
