The Imps have signed Bermudan winger Khano Smith on a short termd eal

The deal actually went through prior to Saturdays match with Torquay, but LCM editor Gary Hutchinson unfortunately experienced a tough week, hence us bringing you the news last!

Smith, who has had five weeks on trial with the Imps, becomes Chris Sutton's first full signing since taking over as manager, and Sutton was quick to highlight his positives: "He's quite a direct player and he'll offer us something we haven't got."

The former New England Revolution winger has scored seven goals in 24 international appearances for Bermuda.

He made his debut in the 0-0 draw with Torquay on Saturday, although he did appear to drift in and out of the game, and possibly lacked a bit of match fitness.

Also making their debuts for City this weekend were  Nathan Baker and Eric Lichaj who have signed one month loan deals from Premiership side Aston Villa.

Baker, 18, is an England under-19 international while Lichaj, 20, has played for the USA at youth level.

Sutton was again keen to highlight the youngsters potential contribution  "They're highly rated and I'm confident they'll come in and do a good job for us."
