With Port Vale fans waiting to travel they have now been told they will have no chance of making the game as there will be no decision until after 2pm at the earliest.
This is another farcicle installment in a catalogue of pitch inspections at Sincil Bank centring on the notorious corner at the South End of the stadium. Not only does this affect fans travelling from the Potteries but also fans travelling by train. Even those travelling just the one stop from Gainsborough or Saxilby would have to be on the train ten to twenty-two minutes before 2 pm. The next train would arrive in Lincoln 7 minutes after kick off with the fans missing the first 15 minutes of the game.
