Braintree Town For Tilson?

Newly promoted Braintree Town won promotion to the Blue Square Bet by 9 points over nearest rivals Farnborough Town.  Manager Rod Stringer then resigned on May 11th after failing to agree a new deal with the club.  Many feel he is not big enough for the ambitious club according to certain sources in Essex. This could be backed up by the fact that his entire management team have gone with him with a bigger name muted.

Chairman Lee Harding was disappointed in the press at least: "It's a sad day for the Club, because what we all achieved together last season was remarkable. I'd like to thank Rod, Keith and Bobby for all their hard work and we wish them well for the future."

Steve Tilson is of course an Essex  lad and could well be interested in a job closer to home, albeit at a club bigger than Braintree if a League club will take him and his recent track record. He has certainly not settled here and commuted last term with many ex senior players unhappy with the results. It continually disrupted training and preparation with some sessions held up until mid morning or even the middle of the day. Perhaps another reason for a player rift and the fact that our lads looked like strangers some Saturdays.

Are the board so out of touch that they do not realise these things?
