Michael Blackwood is on his way back.
Talented utility player Blackwood made his long awaited comeback yesterday as The Imps second string defeated York City by three goals to nil at Ashby Avenue, the home of Lincoln United.

Blackwood showed a great amount of early season promise but was injured in the game against Notts County on August 28 which City lost.

"It was good to see Michael back in action, but he's still some way off full fitness," said Imps boss Keith Alexander. Blackwood is not expected to face high flying Orient on Saturday.

A double from Niall McNamara (following his return from a one months loan) and Peter Folkes' first City goal lifted the Imps back to the top of the Pontin's League Division One.
