Just two years ago Yeovil were in the Conference. Now they are heading into Division One of the Coca-Coca League having clinched the Division Two title with a speedy, all-action performance against the Imps, who have already booked their place in the play-offs.

Itv was a tense first half in front of a sell-out crowd, and both teams come close to scoring before Yeovil eventually took the lead in the one minute of stoppage time added at the end of the first half.

Earlier Gary Taylor-Fletcher had brought the best out of Yeovil keeper Stephen Collis, while at the other end Colin Miles tipped a 25-yard free-kick over the bar.

In a dramatic finish to the half Yeovil forced a right-wing corner. The ball was knocked back from the far post by Phil Jevons and Efetobore Sodje bundled it home from close range.

Terry Skiverton's shot was cleared off the line in the first minute of the re-start, but Yeovil did not have long to wait for their second. In the 53rd minute Darren Way was brought down by Jamie McCombe and Jevons knocked home the penalty. It was the 29th goal of the season for the league's "Golden boot" - and 12 of them have been spot-kicks.

It was now Yeovil all the way and Paul Terry looked to have scored, but a defender popped up on the line to head against the bar - and the ball rebounded into the arms of the grateful keeper.

The third goal arrived in the 78th minute. Lee Johnson sent over a corner from the right, and defender Sodje outjumped the tall Lincoln defence to head home a beauty. The Nigerian international went home clutching the man-of-the-match trophy having helped a fifth team to promotion - the others being Stevenage, Macclesfield, Crewe and Huddesfield.
