On the scoresheet & man of the match - Sandwith
Lincoln City grabbed their first home league win of the season with a comprehensive victory over a poor Kidderminster Harriers side.

The visitors failed to manage a single worthwhile effort on goal throughout the 90 minutes and their players were locked in the dressing room for nearly an hour after the final whistle for a post-match debate.

City could have easily doubled their winning margin as Kidderminster showed just why they have managed just one goal in their six away matches this season.

Harriers had an early chance when midfielder Lee Jenkins was inches away from making contact with a cross from Ritchie Appleby, but from then on Lincoln took charge.

Defender Kevin Sandwith went close to breaking the deadlock in the eighth minute with a long-range shot which brought a great save from Harriers keeper John Danby.

However, Danby was at fault for Lincoln's first goal when he charged out of his area two minutes before the break. He found himself stranded and City striker Simon Yeo took full advantage to slot home his fourth goal of the season.

It was one-way traffic in the second-half, with Kidderminster fortunate to escape a much bigger hiding.

City midfielder Peter Gain ran unchallenged for 50 yards through the visitors' defence but his final shot flew over the bar.

Lincoln added a second goal in the 58th minute from a Matt Bloomer cross. Kidderminster failed to clear and Sandwith knocked the ball home from close range, for his first goal since joining the Imps from Halifax.

Yeo then created an excellent opportunity for himself, but put his shot into the side-netting from six yards.

When Kidderminster finally moved forward substitute Ian Foster could only manage a weak effort that failed to trouble Alan Marriott.

Harriers cracked again in the 74th minute when Gary Taylor-Fletcher headed in his seventh goal of the season from a Sandwith cross.

Sandwith was then close to adding a fourth for Lincoln when his 25-yard free-kick beat Danby but came back off the woodwork.
