IMPS SEE OFF STAGS IN 5 GOAL THRILLER

Keith Alexander's reign continues to flourish with another well earned win in the final pre-season friendly of the summer break. Having been denied the opportunity to try his new tactics against Northampton due to the unforseen flooding of Sincil Bank, Alexander had only this game remaining to drill his new look City side before the trip to Kidderminster next weekend.

Goals from new Imps crowd favourite, Simon Yeo, his first in an Imps shirt, and two late goals from Ben Sedgemore and Paul Smith, ensured that the last friendly ended in victory. Mansfield for their part played well, with two goals which to the assembled throng appeared to have clinched the win. However, good pressure and alertness from City in the final minute of the match changed the complexion of the match.

Fans now enter a new football season with optimism, and here at Planet Imp, we will continue to provide you with the latest news and match reports.

Good Luck for 2002-2003 LCFC
