An Informed Fans View Of The New Players.

Yes that's right i was shocked by one of our players,he looked thinner and sharper then ever before he moved the ball well and and also ran a bit further than usual. As for what he's been drinking during the break he's had,I can only assume that it was Kangaroo juice as when he went for a header it looked like he'd found an extra foot in jumping ability.Yes I am talking about our favourite boo boy Mr Battersby.Unless ofcourse he's been secretly training for the Commonwealth Games?

As regards our new recruits Yeo looked very lively he looked like he had the pace to get behind defences and hopefully as the pre-season progresses he'll look more confident in his own abilities.Informed Fans verdict:Could prove to be a valuable asset to the club.

Futcher our new Gangly centre back a little bit too early really to judge how he'll perform.Last night you could tell he was trying to work a partnership with his colleages in the defensive line, but it is early days yet.On a plus point for him though, when he went up front for set peices his height caused a real problem for the opposing defence. He managed to get good contact on one header which went narrowly over the bar.

Cropper Looked assured and confident ran at defence very well and caused a few problems for them unfortunately he fluffed a good chance to score, but i'll put that down to the ball bobbling up just before he made contact with it.

The player that really did stand out and IMPressed me was a young black lad I think he is the one on trial from West Ham.He ran his little heart out all second half,he was full of little tricks, and proved a real handful for the opponents. His skill and thinking was second to noone.Keith could do a lot worse than to try and sign this lad.

All the other players had a quiet game really but it was only their first game in City colours. The pitch certainly didn't help matters I would go as far as to say that the pitches on the common could well be better quality.

Man Of The Match: My vote goes to the young black lad(i'm not going to try and type his name as i've seen different spellings of it)certainly a player to watch.
