NAME YOUR SEAT LATEST

Last updated : 31 July 2002 By

Just a quick update on the LCST/LCFC "Name Your Seat" initiative which has raised almost £90k for the club since its launch in April.

Over the past couple of months staff at LCFC together with a number of volunteers have been frantically inputting all the information from the 6,800+ forms that have been received into a database. The contents of this database are then being processed by the LCST who will subsequently put together the plan of whose name goes on what seat in the stadium.

Once the database is as up-to-date as possible then the LCST can start printing the labels that will go on the seats. LCFC have this week received the sticker templates that are to used with the labels so we're almost ready for the 'big stick'.

However, there are still quite a number of forms that still need processing but we hope to have it all cracked in the coming week or so in time for the start of the season. This could be even quicker though if anyone can spare a few hours to help us out. Ideally we would like volunteers to be in the Lincoln area and have access to a PC at home so they can take forms home and work on them at their leisure. If you think you can help us out by taking a handful home then please contact Kerry Pick at Sincil Bank on 01522 880011

I understand everyones concerns at the lack of stickers on seats and feedback from the club but as I hope you can all appreciate it's been a somewhat hectic few months down at the Bank but I'd like to think we are still on target to get all 6,800 seats 'stuck' before the 2002/03 League season gets underway.

Once this is complete LCFC and the LCST will do their utmost to ensure that everyone who ticked that little box requesting more information about certificates & photo opportunities is contacted one way or the other.

The important thing when Name Your Seat was launched was to get funds into LCFC quick and the response was truly amazing. The funds raised through the initiative went a long way to ensuring the survival of our club and I'm sure I speak on behalf of every City fan when I say that we will always be indebted to everyone who has supported it (and everyone who continues to support it).

All feedback is most welcome.
