Weaver: Off to pastures new at lowly Kidderminster
Weaver ironically made his City debut back in 2002 against Kidderminster in a 1-1 draw. Over the next two and a half years he featured 101 times for the Imps scoring four goals, picking ten yellows and a single solitary red in the home defeat by Carlisle that resulted in a court case for the Carlisle board. He appeared at the Millenium stadium for the Imps in a play off final and made the semi finals at the second attempt.

His spell as a City player effectively ended in his last appearance in the 2-1 defeat against Notts County as following the game he signed for Macclesfield on loan. His impressive form appeared to have swayed Macc boss Brian Horton into signing him, but Kidderminster stepped up their earlier attempts to sign him and snatched him from the noses of their League Two rivals on a free transfer.

There are a number of strange coincidences surrounding Weavers move. Not only did he make his debut against Kidderminster, but he also watched from the stands as the Imps defeated Kidderminster 3-0 in what was the last City match he saw as their player. In the week after that game he signed for Macclesfield on loan. His first game for Macc? Against Yeovil, who were the team City played the day Weaver made his last Macclesfield appearance. The last game he saw as a Macclesfield player was... the 2-1 win over the Imps on Tuesday. Joe Ross officiated that game, and he also officiated Weavers last game as a City player against Kidderminster... both games Weaver had to sit out and watch!!

Finally who do you think Kidderminster played last match, just one day before Weaver signed? You guessed it. Yeovil.
