Two Loan Signings Imminent

Director Bob Dorrian has suggested that Lincoln may be dipping into the market for one or two further loan signings in the next few days.

Speaking to local media Dorrian said: "I would anticipate the possibility of one or maybe even two more loan signings in the next two weeks."

Any further signings would be the next step in rookie manager Chris Sutton grand rebuilding plans. Speculation is mounting that one of those players may be Sergio Torres extending his loan. However signing another player could lead to a squad dilemma for Sutton.

"What you have to bear in mind is that we are reaching the limit of numbers you can sign on loan," Dorrian explained.

"You can actually sign as many players as you like, but you can only name five loan players on the teamsheet so it makes it more difficult to sign more than five."

The Imps currently have five loan signings in the side; Torres, Rene Howe, Joe Heath, Adam Watts and Anthony Pulis. Another new face would mean one of those may drop out of first team contention.

With Torres apparently in favour, and both Watts and Pulis here under Chris Sutton it would appear the unlucky ‘sixth man’ could be Joe Heath. Rene Howe is leading the line, and Heath has been suffering from injury. Parent club Nottingham Forest are unlikely to want the left back sitting on the bench in League Two.
