Torres Eyes Extended City Stay

Torres had his best game for City in the 1-0 win over Aldershot on Saturday, and the talented ex Wycombe man is hoping that he can stay at Sincil Bank to get more first team games under his belt.

Torres isn't in favour at Peterborough, and believes that he needs to be playing football to ensure his career doesn't peter out.

Speaking to Radio Lincolnshire, Torres said "I've enjoyed the couple of weeks here."

"The lads are brilliant and the facilities are very good. Of course you'd like to play higher up in the Championship but sometimes you need to be playing so people
can see you."

However the most encouraging comment followed, when the midfielder confirmed he is willing to talk to City.

"I think this is a really good club so we're going to talk and see what happens."

It's thought that an extension of the loan move is more likely than a permanent signing, as the player would be likely to cost £100,000+, which is around £100,000 more than City have available to spend.

However if Chris Sutton is going to continue to make his managerial name at Lincoln he will need players of Torres quality.
