Halifax Town left back Kevin Sandwith is all ready to step back up into the football league in a £10,000 swoop by Imps boss Keith Alexander.

Keith has money to spend in the wake of Paul Mayos move to Watford, and he has targeted the Shaymens left back as the ideal person to take the popular Mayos spot.

Sandwith may be remebered best by Imps fans as the man on the scoresheet for Town against the Imps in this seasons LDV Vans game. The 25 year old has featured for Carlisle, Doncaster and Telford, and will be eager to kickstart his career at Sincil Bank.

All that remains is for Alexander and Sandwith to agree a wage structure, and the player should be an Imp.
