Extending his Imps stay - McCombe
McCombe has signed a deal that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2007 season. The news initially broke on www.redimps.com.

McCombe signed for City from near neighbours Scunthorpe Utd towards the end of last season despite a late protest from Brian Laws. At 6'5 McCombe featured in all four of the Imps play off semi finals, albeit twice for Scunthorpe against the Imps.

Lately he has been impressing fans and critics alike alongside Gareth McAuley and Ben Futcher. However Keiths persistence in using McCombe as a striker has brought a few jeers from fans who feel the giant defenders talents are better utilised at the back. Despite scoring three goals this season his strengths appear to be in the air rather than in front of goal.

Wherever he plays theres no doubt McCombe is a strong squad member and his signing of the new contract is a boost.
