Mayo set for Hornets switch

City full back Paul Mayo is all set for a move to first division Watford according to the Lincolnshire Echo.

The local born player has 8 goals to his name this season, and no doubt his no nonsense display and powerful left foot have been a factor in the apparent interest from Watford.

Although there isn't any clear picture of what may be involved its reported that he could command a fee of £110,000 which would obviously be a lifeline to the club. Its simply up to Watford and Mayo to agree terms.

Mayo is thought to be absent from the squad to face Cheltenham tomorrow, with Matt Bloomer or Richard Liburd ready to step up to fill the left wing back slot.
