Trialist Cian Hughton has impressed Imps fans this last week or so, and it's no real surprise that he is set to become Peter Jacksons fourth permanent signing of the summer.
Hughton, son of former Newcastle and Spurs man Chris, has looked assured and composed at full back in his short space at the club. yesterday he took his seat alongside the first team squad for an autograph signing session which gave a clear indication of the clubs intentions towards him.
An insider revealed that 'there are no other clubs in the race for Cian, he wants to play for Lincoln and Lincoln want him in tyhe squad".
It's believed the rest is a simple formality and Cian will pen a one year deal later this week, with an option to take up a second year if he makes enough appearances.
