Last updated : 03 March 2011 By Neil Hobbs

Lincoln City’s on loan Arsenal and England defender, Gavin Hoyte, will now miss the rest of the season with anterior cruciate and medial ligament damage to his knee.

Once a career threatening injury,  Gavin is expecting to be back in action within 6 months thanks to Arsenal’s top notch facilities  The 20 year old will definitely miss the rest of the season leaving Stevie T looking to secure another loan signing within the next few days.

Said Stevie T on the matter

"It is a body blow to us. We were starting to get some continuity but Gavin will be out for a long time," said City manager Steve Tilson.  But he is a young lad, he will recover and he has a fantastic attitude, so I am sure he will be back."

Gavin made fourteen 14  starts and one substitute appearance for the us since arriving in October. He is missed at right back and became a popular figure in the centre of our defence during our hour of need.

Thanks for your service Gavin, we hope to see you, as well as other maybe a couple of other Arsenal youngsters back at the Imps over the next few seasons.
