Agent Charles Collymore confirmed talks between Keith Roe and Arsenals David Dein had ceased as Arsenal were not keen on handing any future profit on to the Imps, despite the settlement figure being closer to £100,000 than the reported £200,000 City had first been offered. Collymore confirmed Lincoln had conducted themselves honestly and fairly during negotiations.

Hobbs premiership dream isn't yet over with Bolton and Spurs rumoured to be chasing Hobbs, and potential fresh talks will be started within days. There was a rumour in local press that European champions Liverpool may enter the race for Hobbs in the near future.
