Gain turns Posh in latest Imps snub

Gain signed a three year deal believed to be in the region of £1,750 a week with Peterborough on Monday after reports indicated he was going to sign a new deal with the Imps last Friday. It seems Barry Fry made a last minute bid to sign Gain on the advice of manager Mark Wright who believes Gain to be 'the best midfield player in league two'.

Gain played over 250 games for the Imps in a six year spell, and once the dust has settled will almost certainly be honoured in the Imps hall of fame. His skill suggested he could play at a higher level, but that isn't to be the case next season as he becomes the fifth player to leave the Imps for pastures new.

Gains move now leaves Lincoln with NO midfield players just a month and a half before the big kick off.
