Beevers signs two year deal

Beevers - A move up in class comes with the move up north
The defender has signed a two year deal and will go straight in to contention for a starting place for the trip to Whaddon Road.

21 year old Beevers comes with quite a reputation having been fierce rivals Bostons 'Young Player Of The Year' and 'Players Player Of The Year' last season. This season saw him tailed by QPR and Reading before his shock move up the county to The Imps.

Beevers made his debut as a substitute in Tuesdays 1-1 draw with Orient, but could push for a starting spot against Cheltenham. He's unlikely to push out Morgan or McAuley, so Matt Bloomer had best be on his guard. Beevers can play across the back, or may be used as a ball winning midfielder with the aim of supplying balls for Gainy and Butcher.

The signing of Beevers for an undisclosed fee rumoured to be around £50,000 seems an ambitious move by the Imps and surely signals a clear intention to achieve automatic promotion to League One.
