Free agent Martin Gritton, fresh from being paid up by Chesterfield, is on Stockport County’s radar at the moment. The forgotten Imp of the Schofield / Deehan era never seems to get a decent crack yet and has had more clubs than Tiger Woods.
Although Gritton is never going to get you 20 goals a season he is a great target man and support striker who could work well with Anthony Elding.
