YEO AND BAIILEY DOUBTFUL FOR CUMBRIAN MATCH

New City hero Simon Yeo is listed as doubtful for this afternoon's clash with Carlisle United at Sincil Bank. The 28 year old, whose wonder strike on Tuesday night paved the way to a 2-0 defeat of Rochdale, is suffering a back strain that could effectively rule him out of this clash. Carlisle, who themselves won 1-0 in the week, courtesy of am 85th minute goal at Southend, will be hoping that their support remains good. With the arrival of a new chairman, and the reinstatement of Roddy Collins as manager, the Cumbrians will be hoping that team fortunes will be lifted. A staggering crowd of over 10'000 fans crammed into last weeks home clash.

Mark Bailey has a knee problem which is hampering his fitness, and he too looks doubtful for a game. This will be a disappointment for Keith Alexander who was impressed by the overall team performance on Tuesday night.

The injury to Yeo may open the door for Tony Battersby to show Keith Alexander what he can do. Battersby himself shone in the two pre-season games before he picked up an injury, scoring 3 goals in two games. Both fans and manager will be hoping that this will be indicative of Battersby's season, and that he will destroy the memory of two seasons of poor scoring form.

Imps fans are reminded that they will be made very welcome at Martha's on Newland before today's game. Management at the pub are hoping to create a pre-match atmosphere with a 2-for-1 offer on many drinks. Mananger, Carl, will be pleased to see you there for your cheap drinks. This is destined to be a regular occurence as Martha's strives to become a Lincoln City, fan friendly pub.
