Tilson Suggests Attack Attack Defend

Sincil supremo Steve Tilson felt Lincoln City should have progressed against Hereford after netting three times and creating a hatful of chances.

As the gaffer said to the BBC (Full audio article click here)

"We had enough chances to win the game. If you score three goals at home then you should win any match. I couldn't fault the lads for their effort and commitment, they gave everything but we conceded some poor goals.

"We had chances even late on in the second half and we had three decent chances right at the death but you can't concede four goals at home and hope to go through. "

Defence apart the Imps bagged three, had seven more shots on target plus a further 7 efforts off target. Let us hope the return of homespun Hone will tighten up an utterly butterly back four that spreads like Ritzy's after a happy hour.

If the defence can stop them as Crewe did on Saturday, we could yet spring a surprise. The Railwaymen showed their formidable attacking prowess to unseat the Chairboys 3-0. As Tilly is only too well aware,  the Mighty Imps face a much more difficult and different threat against Wycombe.

Vic says: "They do say you can't polish a turd, but I say just think your way round the box - put some glitter on it for heavens sake - it's a cheap quick fix and twice as dazzling.
