“The Weekend Filler” – 0 in 400

Yes, the facts speak for themselves. City's lack of firepower is agonisingly obvious. We all know that the team are capable of performing well, but what we are well aware of is that there is not one player that we can rely on to finish chances.

Lee Thorpe has done his best, notching 11 goals so far this season – but this feebly compares with Chris Greenacre's 19 and Gary Alexander's 16 – who both look like they will add to their impressive tallies with their clubs, Mansfield and Hull, who are in the hunt for promotion.

A couple of recent quotes from Imps manager Alan Buckley…

“I suppose you could say that we never had that much of a clear look at goal but there were certainly a lot of thing dropping down into their six-yard box that we didn't get on the end of.” (Reaction to Saturday's 1-0 reverse against Plymouth)

“We haven't got anybody hungry enough to get on the end of them (crosses) and score a goal because they were asking to be put in the net.” (Reaction to the 1-0 reverse against Southend).
