Spirites Boss In FA Charge

Chesterfield manager Lee Richardson has been charged with improper conduct by the FA, and the charge relates to the Spireites' 3-1 defeat at the hands of the Imps two weeks ago.

Richardson was ordered to watch the second half of the match from the stands after confronting the match officials during half-time, for a percieved injustice as his side trailed 2-1.

Peter Jackson joined him in the stands later in the second half after being warned about his conduct by an over zealous match official.

Shortly after his sending off Danny Hone was dismissed for Lincoln, but City held on to win the game 3-1. Just 8 days earlier Peter Jackson was sent from the stands against Rochdale.

Richardson, whose side are currently 12th in League Two and just two places below City has until 10 November to respond to the charge. Since that defeat he has led Chesterfield to three wins on the spin, including a fine 6-1 demolition of Exeter City at St James Park on Saturday. In the same period the Imps have also won three consecutive games.
