Simon Yeo

Yeo was stretchered off in the 2-0 weekend win over Shrewsbury following a collision with a Shrews defender. It appears his knee was trodden on resulting in severe bruising. However after initial reports he could be out for the whole season it now seems only a short spell out is the worst to be expected.

Yeo isn't currently training but will be hoping to resume on Thursday in order to convince Keith he is fully fit and raring to continue his impressive scoring run.

Should Yeo fail to make the side there will be few options for Keith to take. Gary Taylor Fletcher missed Saturdays win but is 99% certain to be fit for the Rushden game. Martin Carruthers will be available if required but he may leave before Thursdays deadline. Marcus Richardson will also not be an option as he was released by The Imps today as LCM predicted yesterday. There have also been heavy calls in local press for youngster Ollie Ryan to be given a full outing. He's made four appearances from the bench this season as well as scoring in the reserves. If Yeo isn't fit for Friday then perhaps the Imps fans could see a first start for a future home grown hero!
Doubtful for the big game
