Self Styled 'Voice of Sport' resigns

Duncan Bayes is an Imps fan who most will recognise. As well as offering his opinion in the local paper for a couple of seasons he has also been present on matchday in his role with the St Johns Ambulance. However this week he has decided to stand down after blasting The Imps prospects for the coming season.

Duncan made his comments in the latest special Lincoln City edition Lincolnshire Echo supplement. He predicted a bottom four finish for City and lashd out with some hard hitting comments.

The word spreading around the ground on Tuesday night was that manager Jacko had read the reports and was less than happy. Without going into detail it's understood Jacko knows Duncan on some personal level, and expected perhaps a little more support, certainly in the public eye.

However the self styled 'Voice Of Sport' revelaed to LCM last night that he has decided to resign from his position with the club, and therefore will continue with his stance that the club will acheive very little this season.

With the opening fixture just eight days away, it seems some fans are unable to contain their discontent, depsite not a signal competitive ball being kicked in anger.
