Player Must Leave Before New Signings

Chris Sutton has admitted he'll have to trim his bulging squad if any more new faces are to arrive this month.

However he has confessed he's still looking for new faces, and many Imps fans hope a striker is top of the list.

"I'm always looking at ways to improve the squad and I'm certainly looking for players both for this season and the next as well."

Speaking on the arrival of Adam Watts and Joe Anderson, he said that they were signed with the future in mind.

"Adam and Joe's arrival were with the next campaign in mind and I was very happy to bring them here because they are both very good players."

"But in terms of adding strength to the squad, we are going to have to see if we can ship a few out first before we can bring any more in."

Butcher arrived in the summer nad was heralded as the 'returning prodigal son', however the dream move turned sour after he failed to settle under Peter Jackson.

He quickly fell out of favour with new manager Chris Sutton, as did Aaron Brown. Brown was another Jacko signing who has struggled this season, and both are thought to be handsome earners.

"At the moment we have not had any offers for any of the players that are available to leave the club."

"So it's just a case of waiting at the minute to see what transpires over the next few days once clubs really get into the swing of things now the (transfer) window is open."
