Pettinger In Dr Martens Loan Switch

Last updated : 01 March 2002 By Jonathan Hall
Pettinger, being kept out of the side by Alan Marriott, signed for the Poppies this morning after the two clubs reached an agreement.

The move has been made due to the absence of Ian Bowling, who was taken to hospital following a horrific injury on Saturday.

Pettinger will be no stranger to Poppies fans when he came on a month's loan under Graham Carr and in five games the Poppies never lost a game!

As Pettinger moves away from Sincil Bank, it leaves an open spot for young ‘keeper, Darren Horrigan, to fill. With Marriott in wavering form once again this campaign, Youth keeper Horrigan may come into first team contention.
