He may be just 90 minutes away from a departure from Sincil Bank, but Dany N'Guessan was last night named in the League Two team of the year. The Frenchman showed some lovely mid season form, but drifted away towards the end of the season. However by then the votes had been cast, counted and verified, and N'Guessan became the only representative from a team outside the top ten in the PFA's choice.

The full team was: Scott Shearer (Wycombe), Neil Austin (Darlington), Simon King (Gillingham), David McCracken (Wycombe), Tom Kennedy (Rochdale), Omar Daley (Bradford), Dany N'Guessan (Lincoln), Ben Davies (Shrewsbury), Tommy Doherty (Wycombe), Andy Bishop (Bury), Grant Holt (Shrewsbury).

Dan'y signed for City in the January tranfer window of 2007 under John Schofield and John Deehan era from Scottish side Rangers. He'd previously impressed whilst playing for local rivals Boston Utd, and his signing prompted Steve Evans to refer to John Schofield as a 'Coronation Street' manager who only signed player he saw in games against The Imps.

He struggled to establish himself until early this season when he finally forced his way into Peter Jacksons first team plans. He's hit 9 goals so far this year, but could have had a hatful more in recent weeks.

Its strongly rumoured that N'Guessan will sign for either Leeds or Sheff Weds in the summer.
