Netbusters Suffer Penalty Despair

After progressing from Group 5 of the competition, with one win and two draws, the Netbusters faced Sheffield Wednesday “The Internet Owls” in the next round.

Both sides failed to break the deadlock in normal time, and so golden goal extra-time followed. With no score after extra-time; it was all down to penalties.

In agonising fashion, the Netbusters lost the shootout 8-7, after Al Grant and Scott Johnstone both missed their penalties.

During the day, the Imps side took on rivals Hull City, in a friendly encounter and emerged victorious.
