Lincoln City captain Scott Kerr looks set to miss the opening game of the season, at home to Barnet on Saturday.

The midfielder has been sidelined for the Imps' pre-season matches with a knee injury, and many fans have been left wondering just how long Captain Kerr will be out.

City manager Peter Jackson told local media: "I think it looks extremely doubtful that Scott will start the season. He will probably step up his training this week but realistically it is too soon for the start of the new season."

Kerr was scheduled to play in the county cup defeat against Scunthorpe last week but didn’t make the line up, and now looks set to be covered by Shane Clark for the seasons opener.
