Speaking to the Imps official website, Peter Jackson revealed why the big friendly tomorrow night with Aston Villa will be a big game for him personally - the gate reciepts will go towards his budget which may ultimately lead to signing an exciting striker for the new season.

City expect 5,000 people for the game against Aston Villa, who will bring a strong side as they prepare for an Inter Toto clash this weekend. For Peter Jackson the day will be emotionally charged as it'll be the first time he's been back in the dugout since before the dark days of his battle with cancer. He told the official site that he would find it emotional and that it was another step on the road to recovery.

However with an estimated £40,000 income winging its way into his playing budget, Jacko has an extra incentive to make sure its a bumper night.

LCM recommends that everyone get down to Sincil Bank tomorrow, kick off 7.45pm. Its £10 for adults and £5 concessions, and a superb chance to catch John Carew, Steve Sidwell, Ashley Young and Gabby Agbonlahor in action. In addition to this LCM feels that tomorrow could be the first chance to watch a set of players that will win City promotion for the first time in 10 years.
