Jackson offers no help for Hand

Peter Jackson confirmed in local press that midfielder Jamie Hand will not be coming back to Sincil Bank.

The Imps boss allowed the midfielder to join Oxford on loan until the end of the season, with a view to winning a permanent move at the Us.

Hand had become quite an unpopular figure at Sincil Bank after a few misplaced passes and unconvincing displays. The Imps fans can be notoriously fickle and couldn't see past a few inadequate display.

Despite having a year left on his current deal, Jackson has admitted Hand can leave, confirming he does not figure in his vision for next season's promotion push.

"As far as Jamie's long-term future is concerned, I would say he doesn't have one here" said Jackson "He's joined Oxford and they have the option of extending that particular deal until the end of the season.

"I've got to start thinking about my plans for next season and Jamie does not figure in them and I've told him so. At least by moving to Oxford he will get some games which will give him the opportunity to get down there and get fixed up on a more permanent basis."
