Injury stalls Anson Imps trial

Lincoln City trialist Scott Anson has been forced to sit out the Imps' friendly against Bishop's Stortford because of a back injury.The 21-year-old former Kilmarnock striker has so far scored two goals in City's pre-season campaign.

Manager Chris Sutton told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "He struggled to train a few days last week and we wouldn't want to do anything with an injured player.

"He's got a problem with his lower back so I've told him to get it sorted out."
