Injury Hit City Await Late Fitness Tests

Lincoln will hand fitness tests to midfield trio Lee Frecklington, Stefan Oakes and Scott Kerr, as well as one to Paul Green ahead of tomorrows home clash with Port Vale.

The 3pm game at Sincil Bank caps a heavy fortnight of games for City, and should start with Peter Jackson picking up Octobers manager of the month award. History isn't on his side though as City haven't registered a win over a Port Vale side since 1984.

However with four wins in four, and only one defeat in two months Lincoln look good for a result following a stuttering start by Vale who on paper should be scoring goals for fun. However having sacked their manager early on in the season, they are just finding their feet under the new boss.

The injured quartet picked up knocks and strains during Tuesday's excellent 2-0 win over Gillingham, and City will sweat on the results of the tests. However it could mean a recall to the starting XI for Shane Clarke who has looked impressive when filling in recently.
