In-form Imps too good for Bantams

In truth the first half really belonged to The Imps, and they tok control of the game early on. After Bradford spurned a couple of chances, City looked every inch the confident side which had won their last two games.

The Bantams were made to pay for their lack of inout on the half-hour when City went ahead with a well-worked goal. Delroy Facey flicked on for Brian Gilmour, and his neat pass was converted smartly by Chris Herd.

Seven minutes later Bradford's fragile defence cracked again with Facey putting Gilmour clear. The diminuitive Scot held off three defenders before placing his shot into the net excellently.

It was only after the introduction of sub and former Imps target Michael Boulding at half-time that the visitors posed any real threat and they pulled a goal back when Lincoln failed to clear a cross from O'Brien and Boulding fired in.
