Imps Unveil New Sponsor

The Imps have announced a two year deal with local educational facility The University Of Lincoln.

The agreement will see the university's logo feature as the main sponsor on the Imps' away and third shirt for the next two seasons.

Steff Wright was delighted to make the announcement to local media: "It's a fantastic deal for the club. I also think it's a great relationship between the club and the university, we both want to promote the city."

University pro-vice chancellor Professor Scott Davidson said: "The University is very proud to be able to support the club, we wish the Imps every success both on and off the pitch."

The deal will not only be good from a sponsorship point of view, but may help The Imps tap into the lucrative student community in the City of Lincoln. There are an estimated 9,600 students now on campus in Lincoln, and the club is showing great initiative in attempting to break that partivular market - if nothing else it might shift a few shirts. Joking aside in the past City have run several succesful student nights, where for a reasonable price students gained entry to the stadium and got a free pint, and where the word 'free' is printed you'll usually find a student quite close by.

LCM welcomes anything that benefits the club, and feels that this move will bring the community of Lincoln and the club closer together. The news today is another example of the excellent work that goes on behind the scenes of our impressive football club.
