Imps trio sign new deals

Lincoln trio Marcus Richardson, Chris Cornelly and Adam Kerley have all penned their new one year deals today ending any lingering doubts over their futures.

Marcus Richardsons presence will be significant next season. Although he has endured some poor finishing in the seasons run in fans should not forget his 10 goals contribution as well as a Wanchope like ability to bamboozle defenders with his massive stride. Chris Cornelly missed all last season through injury, but his tricky displays in the previous seasons finale earned him a further deal. The club supported ex CCTV salesman Cornelly through his injury ordeal and the fresh deal will be a great chance for him to make his mark on league football. Both players are sure to play an important part of the clubs immediate future, and Richardson in particular mentioned he ‘never had any doubts’ he would sign the new contract. Keith Alexanders attempts to urge the players to sign certainly seemed to have worked.

Only Matt Bloomer, Jamie McCombe and Simon Weaver have yet to sign on the dotted line with McCombes signature probably the one the club would most like to aquire. Futchers imminent departure signals a chance for the towering centre back to cement a first team place.
