Imps To Feature Live On ITV

The Imps victory in the FA Cup First Round on Saturday was a welcome boost to the club coffers, and hopes of a big home draw with Leeds or Millwall were entering the heads of every Imps fan. However when the draw was finally made we were the second team out, directly after Northwich Victoria, who only minutes earlier had dumped League One Charlton out of the cup.

Imps dismay was short lived however when ITV revealed that they’d be showing the Vics v Imps live on TV on the weekend of the 28th November.

So for the first time since we were embarrassed 4-0 at MK Dons in John Schofields last game in charge, City will feature on TV, however it’ll be the first time on terrestrial TV for many years.

We don’t have a specific date at the moment, but likelihood is a Sunday afternoon game. However there is a possibility that either the Friday evening or even the Monday evening could be when the event is staged.

We dare dream of course, but a Monday game would mean City will be in the third round draw for the first time since 1999, adding extra incentive should we draw Manchester Utd or Chelsea at home.
