Imps Shocker: Fans To Miss Saturday's Game

It would appear the Red Imps travel decision to run just one coach to the massive Stockport Six- pointer is not proving popular with the faithful. The Lincoln City Mad text hotline - 07973 817884 for those who do not have it – has received  complaints from fans angry and incredulous at the decision, leaving devastated. This is a massive game and despite Sportin’ Hortin, Thommo and Parkey’s passion on BBC radio Lincolnshire we would all love to be there.

The club however cannot he held fully accountable for this as the away travel was outsourced to two well known friends of the club some time ago.  The decision to run the thing at a profit does mean a profit for the club on the one hand. However in these tough economic times it means just one bus goes to games unless they feel they can definitely fill a second one.

Red Imps travel has come in for some criticism over the last couple of years with accusations that ‘freebies to friends’ are subsidised by other paying punters. I myself have experienced the disappointment of the words ‘we are full’ on two or three occasions despite getting down to the Bank to get a ticket on the Wednesday.

There were no problems like this when yet another ex Associate director, Mark Broughton’s company Sleafordian Travel ran the coaches. Perhaps David Beck the Fans Trust representative could look into the matter during his latest unopposed 2 year term as a director. It would also be interesting to hear his views on the decision by Chris Travers and Bob Dorian to end the policy of purchasing second hand shares.  We await the next chapter of Becks Banter with relish…………….
