Lincoln City chairman Bob Dorrian says the club are interested in making a major signing who can create an big impact at Sincil Bank.Manager Chris Sutton has so far recruited eight players this summer.

Dorrian told BBC Lincolnshire: "If there was someone who would enhance our chances we would be interested in signing them on a permanent basis.

"Davide Somma was on our wish list and if his situation were to change we'd be quick to talk to Leeds United."

The 25-year-old scored eight goals in 12 appearances while on loan at Lincoln last season and also had a loan spell at Chesterfield.

Somma had his contract extended by a further year by Leeds in the summer.
