After completing a medical earlier today, Green should be unveiled tomorrow alongside former Auxerre striker Dany N'Guessan, as the Imps hope to complete their second and third January signings.

The 19-year old midfielder was due to make his first appearance for the reserves today, but the match has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Green should make his Imps debut against local rivals Peterborough United this weekend, pending the ‘appropriate paperwork' being completed.

The club are said to be pleased with their latest coup, as Director of Football John Deehan explained to the Lincolnshire Echo today: “Paul is an exciting signing, who can help us to achieve our goal of promotion.

“There were a lot of clubs in for Paul, so we are delighted he has chosen to sign for us.”

The England under-18 cap will become City's first permanent signing of the January transfer window, having verbally agreed a two-and-a-half year deal at Sincil Bank.
