The Imps website redimps.com has reported that the youngsters will follow in the footsteps of Danny Hone and Lenny John-Lewis in signing pro terms for next year prior to the home clash with Brentford.

Pembleton has made an eye catching start to his Imps career with a couple of sterling displays in midfield. What he lacks in stature he certainly makes up for in ability and enthusiasm, and he reminds the informed observer of a young Dean Keates. Certainly he is expected to start tomorrows game and has become something of a cult figure amongst the Stacey West faithful.

Gary King is a prolific striker at under 18 level who is just itching for his chance to shine in the first team. He signed off from the under 18's with the equalising goal in the Youth Cup Final on Monday night, but then followed that up with a penalty miss. King is certainly very highly thought of amongst the City coaching staff, who believe he has what it takes to go a very long way in the game. Its expected he'll get a first team start before the season is out.

The players are proof that the youth set up marshalled expertly by John Schofield is beginning to pay dividendss, and special mention must also go to Grant Brown and Tom Spall. The system shows little signs of giving up either, with two 15 year olds appearing in the under 18's game on Monday, showing how high the bar has been set!

Tomorrows game kicks off at 3pm, with the signing set for 2.45pm.
