Hone Serves One Match Ban

Danny Hone will be suspended for one match following his sending off for hauling down Jack Lester in Saturdays 3-1 win over Chesterfield.

There appeared to be minimal contact between Lester and Hone, but Lester 'used all his experience' to get a free kick and earn his team a one man advantage. Good news for City was they wasted the free kick and the one man advantage.

The card means Hone will miss tomorrow nights clash against Keith Alexander's Macclesfield, and his likely replacement will be Frank Sinclair.

The card is a real blow to Hone who has just ousted Sinclair from the starting line up, and there is no doubt he'd have been man of the match if he'd stayed on the pitch.

Hone was born in 1989 in Croydon and is the son of ex Imp Mark Hone. He is a product of the Imps centre of excellence, and along with dad Mark is fifth set of Father and Sons to represent the club.

He made his debut in the FA Cup 1st round match against Forest last season, a game which ended as a 1-1 draw. He won his place due to an injured Lee Beevers and a cup tied Forest loanee Hamza Bencherif. He forced his way into the first team line up, and signed a two-and-a-half year professional contract for Lincoln on Friday 7th December 2007.

He scored his first Lincoln goal in a 2-1 home victory over Rochdale on 9 February 2008, but then found himself back on the bench at the beginning of this season. However following a few suspect displays by Frank Sinclair, Hone got his place back and capped a wonderful performance last Friday with the equalizing goal once again against Rochdale.
