Hero's future uncertain

Louis Dodds is fast becoming a cult figure at City, but his Imps future is uncertain as Leicester have yet to reveal whether he'll be offered a new deal in the summer.

Dodds has spent time on loan at Rochdale and Northwich Victoria after coming through the ranks at Leicester, but the recent change in manager could leave the popular forward player out in the cold.

Ian Holloway arrived as Leicester boss late last year, and hasn't seen Dodds in action for the Foxes Reserves. Will this leave him a free agent? If so, are The Imps interested in bringing 9 goal Dodds to Sincil Bank permanently?

The answer to the latter is definately yes. Peter Jackson is rumoured to be keeping tabs on the situation with Leicester, and Dodds revealed to The Lincolnshire Echo "Certainly he (Peter Jackson) keeps asking me what the situation is with Leicester and is always wanting to be updated."

Dodds scored only twice on loan at Rochdale last season after netting three times for Northwich in six appearances earlier in the season. However an extra season seems to have added a more physical element to Dodds' game, and his eye for goal has become evident to City fans. The goal on Saturday after some excellent work from Lennel John-Lewis has to be amongst the goals of the season, and many more like that Leicester will have to come and drag him back from the clutches of his adoring Imps fans!
